The Pupello Family | A Breezy Family Session in South Tampa

You’d be amazed by how much genuine love and laughter you can capture in just one mini photography session. I hold my family sessions at a shaded park in Tampa where families are free to be themselves and enjoy their time outdoors as a family, making it easy to find and capture those sweet real-life moments.

I was so excited when Kalisha signed up for our mini sessions. Together she and her husband are an amazing example of what a godly marriage looks like and what it means to be truly involved and engaged parents. Their two kids, Rocco and Carmen, are both wonderful kiddos and are so much fun to spend time with. Even though they were updating family portraits, I couldn’t help but photograph the sweet moments between husband and wife, too. Their marriage is inspiring! And the sibling photos turned out adorable, too. The bonds between this family are so strong!

I know it’s an oxymoron to force spontaneous moments, and some people feel put on the spot when I tell them to just be themselves while I zoom in on their faces. So, to help families relax and get into a natural groove, I like to have them play Who’s Who. I ask different funny questions like, “Who’s the silliest?” and everyone has to look over at the family member they think best fits that description. It’s a great way to change it up and inspire them to laugh and look somewhere other than the camera. The photos always turn out great!

These four are all incredibly creative and gifted, but when I asked "Who is the most artistic?" Little Carmen got all the looks! Can you guess which kinds of questions Dad got looks for based on their expressions? We had a blast together and it was so great to see them all again. I can’t wait for their next family session!
